Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How good are the free hearing aids for pensioners/veterans?
A: Hearing aids, regardless of price, are designed to help you hear better. If you are not in the position to get all the extra premium features, our audiologist can make the basic free hearing aids good enough to improve your life dramatically. We firmly believe that everyone should have access to better hearing regardless of their financial circumstances.
Q: What else do I get subsidies for?
A: Even without any hearing loss, you are entitled to get complete hearing assessment for free every 3 years. After you get hearing aids, the batteries and maintenance for your hearing aids are heavily subsidised too. This includes adjustments, services, and review appointments. With Ivory Hearing, you are encouraged to see us every 6 months to ensure you are continuously getting benefit from your hearing aids.
Q: What if I want to get hearing aids with more features?
A: If you are planning to get more premium hearing aids, we can help you make sure they are suitable for your hearing and lifestyle needs. When you are happy with your choice of premium hearing aids, you will only pay for price difference between free hearing aids and premium hearing aids, then you'll start enjoy all the benefits from their extra features.
Q: How long will my hearing aids last?
Some people still use their same hearing aids for over 10 years because they look after their hearing aids well. As a pensioner/veteran, you can get subsidies for a new pair of hearing aids every 5 years. Sometimes it is more worthwhile to get brand new hearing aids with the latest features like smartphone connectivity, than to repair old hearing aids.
